Bacon,Mushroom,Swiss Quiche


 

Ingredients

1 lb. Bacon cooked

1 Small Yellow onion chopped

12 oz Mushrooms sliced

3 Cloves Garlic minced

6 Large Eggs

1 Cup Heavy Cream

1 tsp Sea Salt

¼ tsp Black Pepper

1 tsp Thyme

8 oz Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1 Unbaked Pie Crust (see Homemade Pie Crust Recipe)


Directions

Preheat oven to 350°.

In a large fry pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the onion and mushrooms, sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for one minute more.

Remove from heat and set aside.

Crumble cooked bacon.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and thyme.

Stir in the mushroom mixture, bacon, and shredded cheese. Pour into prepared unbaked pie crust.

Bake until the quiche is set in the center. This should take about 45 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes once removed from the oven before slicing.
