Ingredients
2 Tbsp Butter
1 Small Yellow onion chopped
1 Small Head Broccoli broken into florets
3 Cloves Garlic minced
6 Large Eggs
1 Cup Heavy Cream
1 tsp Sea Salt
¼ tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Ground Mustard
8 oz Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 Unbaked Pie Crust (see Homemade Pie Crust Recipe)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°.
In a large fry pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
Add the broccoli and continue to sauté for another 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for one minute more.
Remove from heat and set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and ground mustard.
Stir in the broccoli mixture and shredded cheese. Pour into prepared unbaked pie crust.
Bake until the quiche is set in the center. This should take about 45 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes once removed from the oven before slicing.
