challah french toast


 

Ingredients

8 Slices Challah Bread

4 Large Eggs

½ Cup Milk (or milk alternative)

1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

2 Tbsp Cinnamon

Pinch of Sea Salt

2 Tbsp Butter

Pure Maple Syrup and Butter for Serving


Directions

In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and sea salt until fully incorporated.

Heat skillet or griddle to medium heat. Grease skillet or griddle with the butter.

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, one at a time, making sure the bread is fully coated on both sides. Allow excess to drip off and then place each slice on the hot griddle.

Cook until lightly browned and then flip and continue cooking the other side until also lightly browned.

Transfer to platter and continue until all slices have been cooked, adding more butter to the pan if necessary.

Serve hot with butter and syrup.
